In 2022, I spent three months designing and developing an asynchronous e-Learning course for Professional Development associates (or those interested in the role), NPD practitioners, and other relevant parties interested in developing their role in their organizations. The 8-module course aligned the competencies and standards required for the role and responsibilities of the PD associate who functions to support a continuing education/professional development department. The goal was to have the learner implement PD associate competencies and standards into their practice.
